He's CULTIVATING You!

Greetings Family,

Today’s inspiration is tailor-made especially for you! If you are that person or person(s) or know someone that has a tendency to complain about working too hard, too much, too often or feel as though you’re spread too thin, then this message is for you!

The owner of a farm asked his children to work every day at the farm. Day after day, week after week, the son and daughter got up early and went to bed late. They worked seemingly harder than the people that were paid to work on their father’s farm. One day a friend of the owner of the farm stopped by. The friend observed how hard the son and daughter of the owner were working. But, he also heard the son and daughter complaining as they worked. Unfortunately, as they complained the crops were still not growing as fast as they desired and it seemed like the work was even harder. This went on for weeks. But, one day the son and daughter decided to stop complaining and simply do the work that they had been assigned. Almost immediately something happened! The work became more rewarding, the crops became healthier and began to grow much faster. The friend of the owner went to the farmer and said, “Why do you still make your son and daughter work so hard? The crops are growing and things seem to be okay now.” The Owner Of The Farm Replied: “What you didn’t understand was that I was NEVER Cultivating Crops, I have been Cultivating my Children!”

 Moral Of The Story:
The more you complain, the harder the work becomes. But, when you humble yourself, focus on being faithful and doing the work, then you will see the benefits of growth and the satisfaction of your work!

Church, Jesus said in Luke 12:48, “When someone has been given much, much is required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.”  We have all been given much more than we deserve. (Ex. Life, energy, oxygen, food, clothing, transportation, family, jobs, and chance after chance….) We have also been entrusted with much more than we can afford to repay.

So, please listen well, my brothers and sisters, God is CULTIVATING US as He CARES for us, but He is CHALLENGING us to give our personal best without complaints, whining and/or grumbling!

Ask yourself the question: “Have my complaints led to a PROLONGED, PRESSURIZED and PAINFUL CULTIVATION PROCESS?” If so, “Let Me Stop Complaining and Do What I’ve been Assigned to do!”

 Now, think on these things….

 Yours in Christ,
Pastor McKnight

Pray for Charleston

PRAY FOR CHARLESTON

Our hearts and prayers are with the members and families of Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston SC. May the Lord comfort and keep them through this time of tragedy.

The New Life Bible Fellowship Church will have a moment of silence for The Reverend Honorable Clementa C. Pinckney and the 8 other victims on Sunday. The Pastor (African American, male, age 41) was killed trying to protect the flock. The shooting took place Wednesday evening at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, the oldest AME church in the South.

Due to this terrible tragedy our men need to be more aware of what is going on around our surroundings.

Our Security Ministry is certainly aware and volunteers for more men and women to assist in this area are requested.

This was a tragedy and a reflection of the perilous times that we live in.

Yours in Christ,

Pastor McKnight

Wednesday's "Word of the Week"

Greetings in the Matchless Name of Jesus Christ!

This is your "WORD for the WEEK!"....

Many, if not all of us have heard or made the statement, "I'm tired of the same old..same old...;" I want more out of life! Well, if this is true then let me help you get what you've been asking for. In Matthew 6:33, the bible clearly states that we, "Must Seek Ye First the Kingdom of God and ALL of His Righteousness and EVERYTHING ELSE Will be ADDED To US!" This is awesome because it's crystal clear that we as believers have a road map to our blessings. God is simply saying:

"If you want more out of life, then look for me, seek me..desire me and I'll add it to your life!" It's just that simple!!!

We make it too hard. Here's why: Many times we are hesitant to seek after God because we are afraid of what we might lose. Yet, we MUST understand that what we may lose is NO COMPARISON to what we will GAIN from GOD! Church, everything that we need and have in life is provided for us simply by seeking GOD 1st!

This means we have to place GOD as PRIORITY #1 over and above anything or anyone else. God is before your job. God is before your family. God is before your social life and your friends! When you choose to place GOD as PRIORITY #1 you will begin to see and experience a great shift in your life because you are aligning your life with God's Will.

Understand that it doesn't matter whether or not you look like you have it together. It doesn't matter whether you are seemingly busy doing church work! What matters is if He is #1 in your heart and is demonstrated in your consistent actions. Your faith-filled actions will show in the work that you do for the kingdom! So, if you want more out of life, then be willing to give up some things in order to get some things!

So, what's holding you back? What are you holding onto that needs to be let go? Who's in your way? How many jobs are you working and you still have NO time for the Kingdom? Are you always tired, irritable and cranky? Do you feel a VOID in your Life? If so, then you should want more out of life!!!!

Ask yourself this question???...What am I willing to give up in order to GET MORE OUT OF LIFE! Now, think on these things.

Yours in Christ,

Pastor McKnight
